Pantanal Escapes

This is a short video shows an Agami Heron (Agamia agami) filmed in the northern area of the Pantanal. Given that these birds normally prefer the seclusion of wooded riverbank, catching one out in the open like this is rare experience. Notice the striking multi-coloured plumage - and the very long length of the neck, relative to the rest of the body, when extended.
