Discover Brazil's Wild Wonderland

This YouTube video shows the scenery around Ricardo Franco State Park, close to Vila Bela da Santíssima Trinidade in Mato Grosso. The park covers an area of high tablelands known as the Huanchaca Plateau, and adjoins the Noel Kempff Mercado National Park in Bolivia. It's an area of spectacular rock formations, waterfalls, crystal clear springs, and rich biodiversity. This plateau, and speculation about what lived on the top, helped inspire Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World.

The "cloud" you can see flying around the waterfall (from 4:47 onwards) are a flock containing many thousands of swallows.
