Discover Brazil's Wild Wonderland

This YouTube video provides a quick view of some of the wildlife you'll see in the Pantanal Mato-Grossense National Park in Mato Grosso. This park is situated in the area where two of the region's major rivers (Paraguai and Cuiabá) meet - near the border with other Pantanal state of Mato Grosso do Sul, as well as neighbouring Bolivia. The park also includes several large lakes such as Baía Uberaba.

There are over 600 species of birds, as well as larger animals such as giant anteaters, giant otters, tapir, howler monkeys and jaguars. There isn't much infrastructure for visitors and no camping is allowed in the park. However, boat journeys through the park can be organised from nearby Porto Jofre.
